Crochet Along: Finished Blanket Photos

I've tried it again. Don't know if this will work either. I'm not too "computer savvy". My afghan is on the flickr site so hopefully this will work. I couldn't resize the picture so that Bernat would accept it. Always showed up too large. Still don't know how to do it!

Any way, this was a fun "mystery" afghan. Have enjoyed seeing other "blankets"!

Not very good at taking pictures and I hope it will post correctly but I finally finished the CAL. Had a small problem when sewing together - I cut the wrong thread and undid a couple of motifs so had to redo them. Still thinking about the border - have an idea to make the edge even but haven't decided if I really want to do that or not.

Loving all the pictures. This has been so much fun and I have learned a lot of different stitches. I am also working on the KAL but only half done with that one - it will be some time before I finish that one.

I finally finished! This has been so much fun to be apart to the CAL for my first full size afgan. I have learned so much from Bernat and all of the talented crocheters on this forum. Thanks for all the insights and conversations on layouts, colors and life.

I've finished!!! Yay!!! And I'm so happy with the way it turned out. I'm not sure how to add more than one photo so sorry for multiple posts.

Now I know how you all feel that have already finished. It's a great sense of accomplishment, just to have finished. Even all the tails are done.

Changed my Flickr account to public so hopefully you will be able to see my completed CAL. I really enjoyed making this and am pleased with the result. My husband did not like it when it was in progress but when it was finished he thought the sum was greater than the parts and now likes it. Can't decide whether to keep it or donate to my church to raffle off during their summer festival.

Hi Laina, I chose your same colors and wasn't getting good hubby feedback so changed the layout and dropped the green. BUT seeing yours finished I almost wish I'd stuck with it as I really like yours,

I have been lurking since this started and finally decided to post something - my finished blanket photo.
I went with a different yarn as I wanted to do both the Crochet and Knit A Longs at the same time and in the same colors to match each other on our couch. When I went to the store, they were very limited on the color selections so I went with mostly nuetrals with a punch of orange. I am OK with the way it came out but wished I had picked different colors. The colors remind me of 70s colors - rust, brown, orange. Maybe it will look better when I paint the family room green (main color).

I really enjoyed crocheting the motifs all week but didn't really like the finished layout. I used a different layout (taking inspiration from one posted) and added a different border.
