Thank you so much.
We arrived on the island after over 30 hours of driving. Just in time to say goodnight to many family that had stayed up for our arrival. The funeral was the hardest ever, we still had not really processed that Dad was no longer there. It felt like he was hanging around in the bush outside his house. Words cannot describe what was happening. My body decided to betray me shortly after the funeral and I got a severe case of oedema and high blood pressure and ended up at the hospital. What a horrible time. I am doing much better now. We stayed an extra day to be with Mom, wish we could have stayed longer but I really needed to get home.
We arrived home not even an hour ago, so I have not been able to catch up on this forum at all yet.

I am so excited to start viewing everyone's blankets and checking out the different categories and getting involved again. The last couple weeks the internet access has been very spotty or non existent so I could not do much reading at all here. And the photos would not load onto my phone (that was my internet connection since we left home)
I am too tired tonight I think to catch up, but I will for sure come morning!

I am sorry to hear that you and your family are having such a difficult time. Glad to hear you are felling better though, and I know looking at everyone's lovely knitted and crocheted blankets will help cheer you up. My thoughts are with you are your family.

Today was a bit better. Didn't do much of anything, this cold is getting worse. So I sat with my puffy feet up and read. I read the hundreds of posts and I made my lists of my favourites. That was not easy, too much other stuff on those pages I wanted to read but didn't need to! I am sorry if anyone feels I missed them, but seriously, I wish I could nominate everyone! My lists still ended up too large. I can never narrow things down. This was why I loved the mystery of these two projects, all the way from choosing my yarns up to adding the border (wish I could have finished my KAL by now) this helped me not have to make my mind up on a project!
Thank you for your continued support.

Dear Karenarp, I hope you and your family feel better, I can relate with what you have been through. Been there last year (almost same thing, same circumstances). So take care of yourself and your loved ones. My prayers are with you.

Hugs karenarp. So sorry to hear of your loss and the all the trials you've been through during the process. If you need a shoulder to cry on, mine's available. Loss of parents are so difficult.
