Hi - I finally got this downloaded. This CAL was fun.
My colors were: Past Perfect
Main Color - Fresh Flower
Color A - Mauve Glow
Color B - Celadon
Color C - Blue Gown
Color D - Breath of Blue
I love the yarn, it is so soft and nice to work with. I followed the pattern exactly except for the border.
All the afghans are so lovely, it will be difficult to judge them.

WOW! I think these are beautiful. I finished mine on Sat. Then I started the KAL, but I know I will never catch up. Oh well!! There is always tomorrow. This is so much fun. A friend at work is doing the KAL, so we are always comparing.

Rhyll wrote:Hello everyone

I have finally finished my blanket and here it is! I am the workmate Deria refers to in her posts and it was she who kindly took the photos for me. Credit has to also go to Demolas, my husband and not a member of this "knitting' forum, for showing me how to make the pictures take up less data space. (I could be sitting at my sewing machine and that is 'knitting' to my husband despite the number of times I have explained I don't know how to knit.)

This project has been made extra fun with all of you who posted and shared stories and photos as we went along. I have seen some wonderful work from you. Thank you to you all.

Rhyll

I like your colors very much. My family also thinks I 'knit', when in fact I don't. :hrmm:

I went with a different yarn as I wanted to do both the Crochet and Knit A Longs at the same time and in the same colors to match each other on our couch. When I went to the store, they were very limited on the color selections so I went with mostly nuetrals with a punch of orange. I am OK with the way it came out but wished I had picked different colors. The colors remind me of 70s colors - rust, brown, orange. Maybe it will look better when I paint the family room green (main color).

I really enjoyed crocheting the motifs all week but didn't really like the finished layout. I used a different layout (taking inspiration from one posted) and added a different border.

weavergirl wrote:Finished! I added a column and a couple rows to cover me from chin to toes. I changed the final clue (navy) and love it so much.

Edging was simple 3 rows of dc.

I had a great time doing this CAL, my very first afghan and first large project made for myself.

WOW, very nice :) . My first afghan was row after row of double crochet (and edges were not straight at all,). You should be very, very proud :bravo:

JazzHooked wrote:Well i'm done. I had put off finishing because, well first I needed to make some hats for my sister-in-law's mom, who recently lost her hair due to chemo. Second, I was frustrated on how to do a border. I'm still not completely happy with what I ended up with, but it's done. I had almost an entire skein left of each color, and I wanted to use as much of it up as possible. I have enough left over between all the colors now to maybe make a pillow, which I might do. We shall see.

Colors are very soothing & love :inlove: your border.

I have finished my afghan, I did the border in each color that I used in my motifs...then for the final edging I used the cluster in row 4 of clue 6 pattern. I think it came out very nice and of course I love how the colors go together.
Thanks Bernat for doing such a fun CAL! I absolutely love the patterns we used. To attach the motifs together I single crocheted them, it gives a slight raised edge to each motif.
