Main Color: Beautiful Blue

C: Incense
D: Breath of Blue
I really enjoyed this project. I changed the border to add mor color to the outside. I wanted to pull the contrast colors out of the middle. This has been fun and I look forward to the next mystery. Lila

Lovely work!

I have finally finished my blanket and here it is! I am the workmate Deria refers to in her posts and it was she who kindly took the photos for me. Credit has to also go to Demolas, my husband and not a member of this "knitting' forum, for showing me how to make the pictures take up less data space. (I could be sitting at my sewing machine and that is 'knitting' to my husband despite the number of times I have explained I don't know how to knit.)

This project has been made extra fun with all of you who posted and shared stories and photos as we went along. I have seen some wonderful work from you. Thank you to you all.

Thanks Bernat for doing such a fun CAL! I absolutely love the patterns we used. To attach the motifs together I single crocheted them, it gives a slight raised edge to each motif.

What a cool color combination! :cooldude:

You tried to post all of your photos at once. It doesn't work that way.
You can share your Flickr photos here by clicking on each photo one at a time, then clicking the "Share" button. Next, click the "Grab the HTML/BBCode" button. Then click the little "BBCode" button. Next, highlight all the code that is showing in the window, and paste all that code here in your message.

I am posting one of your photos here for you:

I find that I am addicted to checking on the new photos of blankets. I must check this ten times a day. I really love the CALS, thinking I'd like to try a KAL. I loved this years KAL, but my crochet skills are better than my knitting skills. I also think the Bernat videos are a great resource. My kudos to Bernat!

Oh my goodness! I gasped when I saw your afghan. All I'd ever seen was motifs made in a single colors, but when I saw how you did some motifs with centers one color and the outer rounds a different color...and then put them all together into an afghan....The effect is awesome! I think this method of incorporating more than one color in each motif really shows the detail of each motif well.

I can be glad I missed this CAL because I can see all of your finished afghans and this one is definitely a method I'm going to consider when I begin this afghan.

Great Job!

I am not usually a fan of pink, but I love how your colors just work so well together. It's very eye catching and beautiful!
