Thanks Bernat for doing such a fun CAL! I absolutely love the patterns we used. To attach the motifs together I single crocheted them, it gives a slight raised edge to each motif.

Very pretty! I love how you used your colors; it really gives dimension to the flowers. :bravo:

I finally figured out how to get a good picture of my CAL afghan. It's so big (at least 6ft square) I didn't have anywhere inside my house big enough to get a good picture of it. So I took it outside and laid it on the lawn and went up to the second floor porch to get a full shot of it.

Most of the borders that I've seen are very distinctive and really do play up the overall theme of the blankets! Thanks Bernat for bringing out the creativity in everyone!

Most def seems like that was the master plan here! Even if it wasn't intended, they can claim it was!

I am taking my time going through every page and trying hard to find all the photos of completed afghans, this is time consuming with all these extra topics inside. I am making a list of my nominations and will enter it on the appropriate threads once I get to the end.
Sure glad we can nominate more than one person per category! It is the voting that will become most difficult eh!

*EDIT*
Well it is 2:50 here and I finally got through all the photos, I started skipping anything that was not a photo so I could get done this week ;)
There are so many great ones to choose from, so I made a huge list of the ones I liked as I went along.
I am so glad we do not have to pick just one per category to nominate - I will do my darndest to pick my most favouritest of them all during the voting process, but for now, my nom list is long!

My finished CAL!! I used two Waverly colors, Celadon and Blue Gown. The other 3 colors are from my stash. I added color D to the border and mixed colors in the flower centers. This is the second CAL Mystery Afghan I have completed. They are so much fun!! I just love all the variety of finished afghans. While I didn't actively participate in the forum this time, it was a great support. Many of my questions were answered!! So thanks and great job, everyone! :D

Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Shandeh for locating my afghan picture on Flickr and then posting it here so it was easily available to be seen. I can't tell you the number of hours I tried and tried to get it to show up, even after resizing 3 or 4 times and somehow it wasn't resized by the time I got back to the Bernat Forum site. I guess I need a lot of computer help when it comes to doing certain things. Any way, Thank you, Shandeh and Bernat for a fun experience. I'm looking forward to next time!!!

My Goodness! I FINALLY finished my beast tonight! ...and I say that with all the affection in the world

I struggled alot with my border...and came up with something that I thought would accent the laceyness of the piece. The individual pieces were blocked as I did them, but I realize I should block the entire piece because of how I did the border.....just have to find a big enuf area to do it in....the bed is too small (as you can see...)

thanks to Bernat and those on this board for the advice and direction....I will definately do one of these again!
