despite my replying here, I really feel all replies and responses about how much we like someone's or the kind thank you's should all be deleted and only the photos left up. I was away for a few weeks and trying to go through the topic now to find my nominations is not easy with all the extra chatter. I would not be offended in the least if a mod came along and deleted all non-relevant material from here and the CAL's photo topics and left us with only the images to look through

Good idea, I vote for that

I second that idea!!

Well, we don't want to take out comments, since they are the lifeblood of the forum.
I might work on making ANOTHER post with just photos, which will be locked, so no one can post comments.

Finally finished!! What a fun time! My mom and I each did the KAL and my family will probably be happy not to hear about colors, layouts, and all our interesting guesses. I also learned that we knit differently and I had to change the way I knit to make some of the squares work. We are planning on the next one, hopefully dragging my sisters in too. Hmm.. picture a little crooked and cut off corner..sorry, maybe I can fix later. Colors are butter, Greek sea, porcelain red, bark, and colonial beige.

Very nice blanket! The colors are so warm and beautiful, and your seaming is very clean! :cloud9:

Hi BusyBeeKnitter,
I am madly in love with your afghan - it is the best colour combination I have seen so far, and your knitting looks so even. Really liked the use of the side border pattern on all four sides. I'm glad I'm not finished yet because I think I will do the same. Congratulations!!

Waverly for Bernat Mystery Afghan

Postby muss » Sat May 05, 2012 12:34 pm

I used the Bernat Waverly for my afghan.
Bitter Rose
Porcelain Red
Antique Town and Country
Birch White
Dark Brown
I used the design from the sides of the afghan to create the top border and am really happy with the finished project. The blanket is for my husband to use as a throw in the living room.
I was really happy to be able to find the correct colors in the Waverly Yarn to match the drapes in the living room.

Wasn't sure I would make it. Had difficulty doing the pick up and knit and no response to my question or request for help. So here it is "Shades of purple, silver, and stripes. I think the grape center and boarders made all the difference. I had considered white. Hope Granddaughter loves it, as purple and silver are her favorites.
