Thank you, Bernat, for sponsoring this event, and for the yummy soft Waverly yarn! Thank you to the moderators, participants who have been so helpful to anyone frustrated with this, and to all of the wonderfully talented ciber acquaintanceshttp://www.flickr.com/photos/svmatt/. My main frustration was putting the final layout together! I have photos of many possibilities, including using an alternate color for the center motif, but the final looks great in our home in the mountains, believe it or not! And you all thought mountain homes were full of "animal" colors! HaHa! Anyway, I posted the final on Flikr with a detail of the edging, and here it is! That is, if it will load properly! If not, it is on Flikr, svmatt.

Wow! Very nice and feminine. :inlove: :bravo:

Thank you, crochetfanatic. I am beginning to go into withdrawal, not knowing what to do next to "stay in touch!" Guess I can pop over to another forum and project, right?

I'm with you svmatt; I'm missing the CAL. I have other unfinished projects, but waiting for the mystery Wednesdays and chatting with everyone here made it so much fun! I hope Bernat will be inspired to do another one this year.

Can I still post to the flickr finished photos? and how do I do that?

I love the different octagons on this blanket, and I really enjoyed making this blanket. Can't wait for the next one!

Finally Finished. My grandma loves it! Maybe something more "young" next time? I had fun though!

Isn't it grand to have the feeling of accomplishment, especially when the results are so pretty?!

I'm still adding photos to the finished photos page, even though the contest is over. No worries.

Quick question, Shandeh, how long will the finished CAL/KAL NO COMMENT photos and all of the posts on the whole project from clues to finished afghans be on this forum? I am sorry if you posted that information previously, I missed it.

I believe the forum posts will be available for a very long time. Bernat has not removed the blog posts from the 2009 or 2010 mystery blankets yet.

Oh, Charlene; I love how your blanket came out with the various shades of pink. The varigated yarn that you used for the squares really make your flowers stand out. Great job! :bravo:
