HI Making the Beret. Made it through the first part now just did the 1st round with the larger needles and I am not sure. At the end of this 1st round how many stitces should be on the needles. I eneded up with 125. I have a feeling this is not right. When you do that 1st round should the work around all 3 needles end evenly. In following 1st round are you working with 16 stitches over and over. Wow it is very difficult to ask and explain questions. Thanks

Welcome to the KAL! :hellogoodbye:
You should have 128 stitches on the needles before you start the first round.
I never count the stitches on other rounds, because the stitch number can sometimes change in a lace pattern.

I finished my slouchy beret but it's not as slouchy as it should be since I forgot the row of increase before starting with the chart. Duh ! I will post a picture soon.
I don't use charts very often but loved this one. The pattern is beautiful. I decided to adapt it and do a dishcloth with it. I will post a picture when finished.

Have a nice day!

Can't wait to see a photo!
I'm on row 21 of my beret, and it's looking lovely! I will try to post a photo tonight.

Hi everyone: I finished my hat tonight. Here is a photo. I live in FL, so I will probably not wear this, but it will go to my daughter in NJ. :hellogoodbye:

I'm on Row 20 of the pattern, so I still have a ways to go.

I took this photo, with the flash turned off, to show the detail of the lace.

And this photo shows the true color of the yarn.

I don't know why I'm having so much trouble with this pattern :ire: I have started this one at least three times, there is always something wrong, maybe I'm not concentrated enough, or maybe I'll be making that hat when colder time comes!!! I'm about to give up!!! which doesn't sound like me!!! Maybe I need a break!!! :idonno: Better time tomorrow

Have you tried using the chart?
It really helps me keep track of where I am in the pattern
