Postby mpeters3 » Thu Jan 05, 2012 1:25 am

Hi, On the first page announcing the new mystery knit or crochet along there is a picutre of three pillows. Colors are rose and green. I have searched the site for these patterns, but can't seem to find them. Does anyone have any ideas"
Thanks

The patterns for those pillows can be found in the Waverly "Past Perfect" pattern book #530218

Postby nwfotobug » Thu Jan 05, 2012 12:11 pm

May I say, that I am loving the new newsletter with all the Waverly yarn projects!! It is so nice to see something new and refreshing hit the market. Everything has been so mundane for so long. I knew I could count on Bernat to lift me out of my yarn funk. Thank you for bringing the inspiration of a new projects coming my way. I'm super excited!!

Isn't it great?!

I was AMAZED when Bernat told me about the new yarn. It is so interesting to see the unique relationship they acquired with Waverly fabrics. Really one of a kind. Makes me proud to be associated with them. :cloud9:

The Bernat Shop does ship to the UK.

Our shipping policy has more information on the cost to ship across the water.

Re: Waverly Yarn

Has anyone made a garment out of Waverly? I saw a couple of children's patterns some weeks ago. I really like some of the blue shades and would like to make myself a sweater (I was thinking of a lacy cardigan pattern that uses Satin) out of it (once I finish my knit AND crochet afghans, for which the yarn is already ordered). Not sure if that's a good substitution or if the yarn is suitable for a sweater -- does anyone have any experience with Waverly for garments? Thanks!

I should have said, the pattern I'm thinking of making with Waverly (probably Breath of Blue or Blue Gown or maybe Birch White) is this one: http://www.bernat.com/pattern.php?PID=3094. By needle sizes, it seems as if it should work, but since I haven't received my afghan Waverly yet, I don't know if the fabric, as it knits up, is suitable for a sweater. Thanks to anyone who can comment on what it feels like and how drapey it is!

Hey! I made that cardigan before! :)

The Waverly yarn is a bit "loftier" than the Bernat Satin, so it will make your cardigan cushy and comfy. I think the stitching will go nicely as well.
