Oh dear! It's a traumatic day in the lialab household. I am SO glad you made a blanket for him! That will be your virtual hug for him.

Tonight, I took myself to the local K&W Cafeteria. I got fish, potatoes, hushpuppies, watergate salad, and coconut cream pie. YUM!!! I'm having leftovers now, because I couldn't eat it all at the cafeteria.

Don't worry, you're baby will be over often for that delicious food!

Yesterday was the Spring Piano Recital for my students.

Seven of my students couldn't come, because of other commitments. But, the eight that participated did a wonderful job! I was worn out afterwards, and came home to take a four hour nap!

When I woke up, I was starving, and looked through the fridge and cabinets for a meal. Finally decided on making some tuna salad. I also put together some pineapple and cottage cheese. A glass of milk topped it off, and I had some chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Not bad for a thrown together meal. ;)

Thank you, my friiend! It was a sweet recital.
When my students finished their pieces, I performed "Clair de Lune", by Debussy, in honor of Mother's Day. When everyone was leaving, one of the piano parents said, "I know this sounds funny, but I didn't know you could play piano!" We all laughed about it. I replied, "Yes, when I teach, I focus on my students playing. I like to make each lesson all about them. I want them to play and sparkle."

Clair de Lune by Debussy is one of my favorite!! it reminds me of my mother, who by the way, never played the piano except for that piece!! When we started learning piano, she stoped playing !!

I've been sick in bed all this week, just getting up occasionally to eat a sandwich, or finish off the last of the pineapple and cottage cheese. Not sure what's wrong exactly - I just feel very tired. I'm only able to stay up for about an hour at a time, then I crash back in bed.

Today, I was very hungry, so I took myself to KFC for a chicken meal. It was very tasty, and gave me a bit of energy. After eating, I was able to load the dishwasher, and take all the dirty clothes to the laundry room.

Then, I crashed in bed again. Maybe I'll actually wash the clothes tomorrow. :?

What is everyone else having for dinner?

Clair de Lune by Debussy is my favourite piece!!! I listened to it when I was in labour and it helped me to relax. I wonder if I could learn to play it on the piano? Is there an easy arrangement you would recommend? btw, I love your orange outfit! Beautiful!
