 I thought it looked weird too! but only realized why now because I read your comment. :)

I made my change purse in Bernat Super saver rouge. It is my new favourite colour. It matches the flower on my mermaid purse! I am using it to hold all those pesky cards I have in my purse.

zhanie, Great Job, love the color, never thought about making one to match the Mermaid Tears Purse. Great Idea. :bravo:

It's fun to see all the pictures and make things with people. I enjoy my creations so much more!

Oh how I agree! I am loving these -a-longs and learning new things. I have heard of the seed stitch so much but could never figure it out or what it really looked like and now I know thanks to this project! I hope Bernat has tons more tiny projects we can work on together for a long time to come. My hand is not ready for a large project at this time but I like seeing things completed, so these have been perfect for me right now.

Take your time, my friend. I'm going slow myself. I've only knit about an inch. :)

I think it is SO FUN to work together at the same time, and see our creations as soon as we make them. It's almost like we are having a virtual knitting group, isn't it? :cloud9:

I'm glad you're enjoying the knit-along party! :D We will do our best to keep having lots of interesting and fun projects going in the forum. Some will be small like this, and others will take more time and patience. But, they will all be fun to make together.

I learned how to make a button hole from this project! I actually didn't know that it would be easy to do. :cloud9: Thankyou everyone:)
I am pretty busy with my cable blanket, but if we make slippers later on, I will have to join because I want a pair for every member of my family and I think all my stashed Bernat Waverly will be perfect!

Yes, this type of buttonhole is VERY simple!
Later on, as you get deeper into knitting garments, you will want to try out different types of buttonholes.
I have seen some very fancy techniques for buttonholes on Ravelry. They can be quite intimidating!
But, I'm happy with simple buttonholes for now.
