zhanie wrote:awe:( I hope you feel better soon! I went to work today, then came home feeling sick again, and went to bed for an hour. Like you I do a little spurt of laundry, taking a shower or cleaning kitchen counters, then I go for a rest lol. It's so weird, because otherwise, I don't feel that bad!

I'm glad you were able to go to work. I hope you get plenty of rest this weekend.

I have changed the purpose of my little coin purse, though. It's not gonna go in my purse.

I'm using it to hold a few Nintendo DS games on my nightstand. I really enjoy playing my little pink DS to help me go to sleep. Do any of the rest of you play video games? Or am I the only gamer in our midst?

Hehe. I play games but not as much as my kids do. They can play all day and all night if you let them! And that was a good idea to use it for that. Um... I should make my kids one for their games. Thanks for the good idea!

I love video games too! I chuckled when I read what you are using your change purse for:) I had to stop gaming years ago when my shoulder problems started, but now, thanks to a wonderful physiotherapist, I am almost completely recovered. About three years ago I went to my doctor thinking that she may suggest I take some time off work to heal. She told me that work was probably fine but I should cut back on the video games and crocheting  (I remember I was really into Zelda on DS... I'll have to ask my daughter if we still have it).

I see the difference when it is in that pattern, now how to tell the difference when it is every stitch that is flipping? If I look at it too long it blurs on me. Maybe one day experience will be my true guide, till then I am stuck chanting 'knit purl knit purl' 19 times across and if I lose count I 'walk' my stitches from the end to where I am to see if I am on a purl or knit.
This frustrates me that I can't see the difference yet, I like knowing how things work! Helps me understand how to manipulate them later when needed. But at least now I can tell the difference between a knitted item and a crocheted one! (most of the time!)

I love my Dr. Mario on my DS! I play that or Sudoku to fall asleep to while listening to my OTR's

I think that of ALL the knitted stitches, it is most difficult to decipher the stitch below. Every stitch looks like a purl to me. When I was making the change purse, I had to stretch my work to see what stitch I needed to do when I lost count. I think that for a beginner, the best thing to do is to chant :)
