Is there anyone in particular I should write to asking if it would be possible for the designer of this pattern to resize it to fit children? This would be the absolute perfect pattern for little girls, especially those living in the south. Can you just imagine this on a little girl at Easter or in white for a Holy Communion?? Even that early in the year it is getting warm down here but cool in the morning and evening.
I can resize, cut down or enlarge just about any sewing pattern but am pants at redoing knit or crochet patterns

I cannot guarantee that they will be able to resize it for you, but it doesn't hurt to ask!
I would recommend contacting Bernat at inquire@bernat.com

I would also like to see a little girl sized pattern for this. My grand daughter would look sooo cute in this sweater!

It didn't take me too long after learning to crochet to figure this one out. After doing this  too many times, you figure it out quickly. Five or six extra chains helps the blood pressure stay where it should

By the way, I just looked through the Bernat Pattern Books, and found a cute crocheted cardigan for little girls. It's shown on the cover of the Cottontots "Mini Me" pattern book.

I love this sweater. I've crocheted for a ba-zillion years but have yet to make myself a sweater. I think I might have to make this one.

Are you going to host a CAL for this? If not here, maybe on your blog, or Ravelry?

I would love to join in.

Hi there, StitchyMcFloss, my good friend! Welcome to the Bernat Forum! :hellogoodbye:

We are having the CAL for this lovely cardigan RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!
So grab your hook and yarn, and join us!

I did my gauge swatch last night, using Bernat Satin Sparkle in the color "Twilight" (black).
I'm using a size "H" Crochet Lite hook. That hook will come in handy for this project, because the lighted hook will help me see the stitches in this dark yarn.

I was able to get started on my cardigan last night.
It took a while to figure out the foundation row, but the chart helped me understand it better.

Now, I'm getting ready to do the 2nd Row, and it looks like it's gonna be smooth sailing from here on out.

I will make a video this week, showing how to do the foundation row.

Thanks for the warm welcome! :)

Your swatch is lovely. I can't wait to see your finished sweater.

What a clever idea using the lighted hook to see the darker yarn...I am gonna have to get one of those hooks and do the same. :)

I am a little shy about starting....I think I am worried that I will mess up.

I am going to wait to watch your video on the foundation row and go from there.

Thank you for being so kind and always helping us out on the form...you rock!

I'm glad that you feel welcome! :D

I straightened up my office last night, so now I have a good setup to make a well-lighted video of the foundation row for our pattern. I'll get on it tonight.

By the way, the crochet hook with a lighted hook is called "Crochet Lite". You can find them in the Bernat Shop.
