EASY Bags CAL/KAL

Postby Shandeh » Sat Jun 02, 2012 8:49 pm

How would you like to knit or crochet some simple bags?
I could sure use some bags to carry projects, or books, or electronic gadgets.

Here are some quick, fun bag patterns by Bernat:

:knit: The Psychedelic Hobo Bag looks good to me. I still need alot of practice on my knitting and this one looks pretty easy.

I keep wanting to make the string market bag but then I put it off and start a different project. I like that one cuz it looks as though it will 'crumple' up into a nice ball to fit inside other bags. I am just concerned it will be too time consuming to make?

I like them all, but the crochet shopping bag is calling my name. I have a cone of a neutral color that I think I will use. I'm also doing another CAL from another site so if I can juggle both projects, I'm in!

:knit: I like them all, the Market Bag sounds good. Bags are the one thing you can't have enough of.

It DOES look easy! And wouldn't it be great to carry around a bag that you made yourself? :D

I would love having a bag like this in the trunk of my car, so I could have it "just in case".
I think the top and bottom of the bag will be the most time-consuming, but the netted center section will go FAST!

Cool! I will enjoy seeing you make that one. It looks nice, doesn't it?

I agree! I have lots of them, but it seems that I still always need another in just the right size for what I want to carry. :hrmm:

I will be making a Yoga bag (not sure which one yet), because a friend has asked for one. She carries TWO mats for teaching yoga, so I'll need to make my bag larger than normal. Wish me luck on figuring THAT out! :?

Make two 'tubes' then seam them together to make a figure 8 type look. This way she can separate the mats.
Or if she rolls the two mats together then just make the tube larger to accommodate the roll

She told me that she rolls them together, so I'll make it larger.
I'm leaning toward the crocheted "Namaste" version.

The String Market Bag has been on my "want to do" list for a while now. I've got several other projects going right now, but I may add this one to the pile if I have the right amount of yarn.

The shopping tote bag would be my choice but I can't start it anytime soon.

But look what I found.......
Joanne's has the big balls of Handicrafter on sale right now for $8.99 for the Handicrafter Fruit Punch colors

And this is a cute bag as well......
