LOVE this. Is there a pattern for this or is it the same as the coin purse but with some changes?

TIA!

It's a different pattern. Looks to me like it's a garter stitch square, folded at the corners, then seamed.

The pattern was in seed stitch but more like a triangle. starting with cast on 3. then increasing to 36 st. then decreasing back to 3. Folded and sewn. He (pawpawtrys2) doesn't get a lot of time to practice his knitting (with work and stuff) so he was trying to learn the increase and decrease stitches. I think the envelope purses are made like this. Thanks for the compliment. He :inlove: loves reading all the feed back.

:knit: Queen E79, Just cast on 3. knit 1 row. Increase I stitch a beginning of every row to 36 sts. Then decrease 1 stitch at the begging of every row. Fold 3 corners to the center and sew to form a v shape. The 4th corner is the flap. You can make it as big as you want, just keep increasing to the number you want. :hellogoodbye:

Don't mind me, but how exactly do I do the decrease and increase? the same way we did the button holes for the coin purse minus the yo or k2tog when doing the decrease or increase?? Hope that makes sense.

:hellogoodbye: QueenE79, Increase-Working in the front and back loop. Knit as usual but don't take the loop off, twist the needle to the back and knit again, then drop the loop off. the decrease was like the coin purse. Knit 2tog. Bernat.com (at the top right of the screen) has instructions, that might help you understand better.
