Now that some of you have gotten comfortable using dpns, and knitting in the round, you might want to try knitting some socks! You already know most of what you will need to know to make them.

Here is our KAL for learning to knit socks: viewtopic.php?f=253&t=2581

I do like the way it came out. It looks much better lining up the ribbing. I thought it could be a mistake, then thought it had to be like that for the angle of the cup. I don't know enough (yet) to try to correct anything. I just did what it told me. But yours looks much better.

I sent notice to Bernat that it might be a mistake in the pattern. I will let you know their response.

I think the cozy would look good if it was all done in K2, P1 ribbing throughout as welll.

No time limit to join!
So once you find a set of dpns (or extra long circulars to do the magic loop method) then jump on in and work at your own pace.
Come back here to check out how other projects looked or to see if a solution has been found to any trouble you may be having or to ask a new question. These are designed to learn at your own pace. No rush. Just cuz some folks are super speedy does not mean you need to be! So go ahead, smile, and jump in when ready! This topic will be waiting right here for you when the time comes!

:hellogoodbye: QueenE79, I am super slow at knitting. I have to keep checking all the stitches and pay close attention to what I'm doing. The 1st cozy I did was a little scary, but once I did it. Its much easier than it looks. I'll be trying another cup cozy, so I'll still be here. Since we are learning, its go at your own pace and Shandeh is always here to help us.

QueenE79, you are more than welcome to join in our KAL right now! I'm sure that others will join as well, as time goes by. This is a really fun, quick project, for learning to knit in the round.

By the way, everyone.....TAKE NOTICE!!! :reading:
I contacted Bernat Consumer Support, and found out that the pattern DOES have an error.

It should be knit all the way through with the same design - K2, P2 ribbing.

So, Bernat is correcting the pattern as we speak.

When you make your cup cozy, be sure that you do NOT change to K2,P1 ribbing after the color change. Just keep going with K2, P2 ribbing. :knit:

:knit: I saw this cozy and just had to try the dpn's one more time before starting to try the socks. It's the Bernat Breast Cancer Awareness Cup Cozy (knit). This was very fun and easy. I still need to try to control the tension.
