Good choice. I think every car should have a handmade blanket. Puts a personal touch on something that came through an assembly line.

It'll also combat the white dog hair on the black interior lol

Just started the stepping waves afghan in purple for my daughter. My granddaughter asked me what I was doing. I told her that I was making a blanket for Aunt Lauren. She said, " that's sweet". I am using a dark, medium, and light purple.

It is sweet. I hope you have as much fun with it as I did. Post some pictures please. Would love to see your progress in purple. Happy knitting!

Here is what I have so far. I really love the colors together. It is a lot easier than I thought it would be. I was reluctant to start because I thought the pattern would require a lot of work, but I found out that it doesn't. The only problem that I have is on the last 3 decreases in the pattern. I keep wanting to do a yarn over for each one which would give me 2 extra stitches. I have had to correct this mistake a few times. Sorry about the picture, not the greatest lighting.

That is going to be beautiful! Love your color choices. :inlove: It is an easy pattern, but I used stitch markers between every pattern repeat which made it even easier for me. Happy knitting! :knit:

I am using stitch markers. I got that from your first post here. :notworthy: It is so much easier using them. I am really enjoying it. I am now working on the 3rd repeat. My daughter was here this weekend. She knows that I am making this for her, but she refused to look at it. So, I couldn't work on it while she was here. I had to do something else while we watch a movie. :tears: Now that she has left for home, she lives 2.5 hours away, I can pick it up again. :D So, :knit: :knit: :knit:

I thought about you yesterday and wondered how far you had gotten on your project. It has been cool here this summer and I used my afghan to snuggle up on my couch yesterday afternoon. :cloud9: This pattern works up so quick and so easy. You sound like me. I hated to put it down at night even though I fell asleep in the recliner holding the project in my hands more nights than not

This is on my to do list. Can not wait to try it, but I need to finish my other projects first.

I like to finish one project before I start another one too. Gives me more incentive to get the first one done, because there is always something else I want to make :knit:
