Crochet - Mermaid Tears Purse CAL

Just finished two purses. One for my daughter and a matching one for my granddaughter. I think I'll give them to my daughter on her birthday in June.

I promised a friend I would make her a puple and turquoise purse a long time ago. It looks like this is the week that we are going to go out and buy the Bernat supervalue yarn! She wants a grey flower, so I"ll use the grey I already have. I wonder if this is still the colour combination she will choose, I can't wait to see the result if it is!

My daughter took hers to work the next day and one of her co-workers wants to pay me to do one for her in all black. I haven't commited to doing one yet because I didn't know if is legal for me to do this or not. I'm not sure what the copyright is on this. Also I've never been paid to do a crochet project before. I don't know how to charge for my time. Any ideas on this?

You are welcome to make projects with Bernat patterns and sell them. The project is your creation.
I usually charge for projects by looking for a comparable project on Etsy, and seeing what the going rate is for those items.

I do this too and also consult a friend to help me out because I have heard I undercharge so I tend to get a tip as well. I sold my clutch one for $20. I did ask for 15 as it was a friend I sold it too.

Well, here she is with her little purse. My daughter said that Lizzy insisted on taking it to her other grandma's house the next day. She was cute when I gave it to her. She slung it over her shoulder and kept putting crayons in and out of it. She's so adorable!! But maybe I'm just partial.
