My daughter took hers to work the next day and one of her co-workers wants to pay me to do one for her in all black. I haven't commited to doing one yet because I didn't know if is legal for me to do this or not. I'm not sure what the copyright is on this. Also I've never been paid to do a crochet project before. I don't know how to charge for my time. Any ideas on this?

You are welcome to make projects with Bernat patterns and sell them. The project is your creation.
I usually charge for projects by looking for a comparable project on Etsy, and seeing what the going rate is for those items.

mommom wrote:Well, here she is with her little purse. My daughter said that Lizzy insisted on taking it to her other grandma's house the next day. She was cute when I gave it to her. She slung it over her shoulder and kept putting crayons in and out of it. She's so adorable!! But maybe I'm just partial.
