I'm having the same problem getting started that I did on the foundation row of the cardigan. I'm only getting 5 shells when I need 6. I've already started over once and I'm getting ready to start over again!!! This is sooooo frustrating!!!!!!!!

Finally got some uninterrupted time where I could really concentrate on what I'm doing. DH and dogs don't seem to realize that paying attention and counting is critical to this!! :ire: So I've got it figured out, again!! :cloud9:

What a relief that you got it figured out! ;)

I got a LOT done on my cardigan today. :D
I finished the bottom all around, as well as the right front. And I'm halfway through the back! Woo Hoo!

Just started using my 4th skein, and still have 4 skeins left, so things are looking good.

I am making the medium cardigan and have run into a problem. On the first neck shaping it says to 'rep from * to last 2(3-2-2-3-3) shells, ending with 1 dc. Turn. leave rem sts unworked'. Which leaves me with a 3 shell neck shaping and a 2 shell strap going to the shoulder. On the next neck shaping it says 'miss first 2(2-2-2-3-3). Rejoin yarn with sl st in next dc. Ch 6(counts as 1 dc and ch 3). Pattern to end of row. That makes it a 3 shell strap to shoulder and a 2 shell neck shaping. I am very confused. Either I am reading it wrong or one of them is a typo.

I am so far behind all of you! I have 10" of the body done and I'm doing 12" as I want it longer. I've had a delay in my crocheting because of surgery on Monday. I can't do any lifting heavier that 5-6# and they said no lawn mowing or roto-tilling! Next week I'll be gone but my crocheting and knitting are going with me. Going to a cottage with my 3 kids, their spouses and their 3 kids each; plus one is taking his girlfriend along for a couple of days. This will be the perfect time to catch up on my crocheting. I'm on the third skein of yarn at 10" so I think I'll be okay. I ordered extra so I could make it longer. I have 7 skeins left so I think I'll have plenty!

Thanks for the "site" for the magic knot. I'm just hoping it works okay and will stay knotted during/after washing!

Thanks. At least it will be a fairly easy fix. If it is a 3 shell strap, I will just have to frog down 6 rows and restart the shoulder shaping with an extra shell. And if it's a 2 shell strap, I haven't started the second one yet so nothing to frog. I'll go ahead and work on a sleeve until I find out. I really like working with the Satin, it has such a nice sheen and soft, silky feel.

It sounds like you have gotten a lot done! When you switch to doing the right front, it goes MUCH faster.

it looks lovely, now, are you measuring your pieces before you put them together?
