I'm doing a sock KNIT-along right now.
I was thinking of making slippers in crochet, using worsted weight yarn.
But, I think I saw a Bernat Sox crochet pattern for slippers. :hrmm: (running to check on pattern page.....)

Yep! Here it is!

What do you think of those?

Of course, you can crochet ANY Bernat slipper pattern. You don't have to use the one I chose.

Thanks Shandeh!!!! For the next CAL, how about some socks, I"ve got plenty of sock yarn, or something else I can make with all this yarn!! I was thinking of shawls or scarves  .

Not bad at all....I think I even have that pattern tucked away in one of my notebooks!! Thanks for the reminder. I like wearing socks in the house during the summer if the AC is running & this pattern should be just right! Off to find it & decide which yarn to pick.........

Decided on Bernat Sox in Hippi Hot, working with D hook and super fine yarn quite a change from the larger hooks and yarn I've been using. Also it takes longer to complete! Seems like I've been at it forever and I only have the toes complete on my first slipper/sock! I will alternate working on this and some charity pieces I will be doing for local children's hospital.

Ta-da! One down, one to go. The slipper worked up faster as I became more acustom to the sock yarn and the hook size. Now on to the second one & weave in those pesky ends ;)

:knit: I make a pair of the Bernat Crochet Slippers. They worked up fairly quick. Came out cute and they are comfortable. Perfect for summer with the A/C going all the time.

Mine are finished!! i made a few changes, only 2. First I like working in a spiral, not crazy about joining, ch1 etc. Instead of sewing the seams, I sl st up the sides. I have a funky edge, but it gives the slipper a nice look on the backside. My only change for next time would be to go up a size in hook. Now on to the next project......
