I am, too, Shandeh. After ripping out at least 6 rows on the left front side, I think I'm ready to go on now and I'm at the point of shaping for the neck. I had a terrible time understanding the directions for the last row before that shaping and I think I'm going to change my instructions to read "ending with a RS row" instead of WS row. After studying both the right front and left front instructions, I think you have to start the left neck shaping with a WS row (as is stated in the "Neck shaping:" instruction of the pattern) and I just couldn't figure that out. Now I'm ready to go on. I'll probably be the last one done. I plan to block the body part while I'm working on the sleeves.

I agree whoisit - this pattern is a little confusing.
I've been using a lot of intuition, eyeballing the right side to makes sure it matches.

It is working out beautifully but I can't take an good picture of the it. The color just doesn't show well in pictures. You either can't see the color variations because they are so subtle or it looks brownish. I had to change the pattern a bit. The original had a k2 p 2 seed stitch border all the way around and the satin yarn is so soft, it looked sloppy. So I just did 4 rows of garter and 5 stitches garter on each side and it looks much better. I am thinking of making the pockets garter stitch or garter border since they will be sewed to stockinette. Opinion anyone??

In regard to a photo, I would recommend editing your photo on your computer, after uploading it. I have to do that all the time, to add light to brighten up dark yarns, or show stitch definition more clearly. I use Picasa, which is free online.

Still going with my cardigan! Decided to make both sleeves at the same time, to make sure they turned out the same.

After doing all the increase rows:

Just before doing the decreases at the top:

I should be finished with the sleeves today, then I'll start the seaming.

Shandeh, you are ahead of me. I thought I was following the sleeve pattern correctly in doing the decreasing for the top of the sleeve, so I decreased every other row, following in pattern. Mistake. Had one sleeve all done and had to rip it out back to the start of the decreasing. Now I have one sleeve done, I hope!!! Won't take long to finish the other sleeve as I have it up to the point of decreasing. I'm guessing that the decreases are for the "increased" section only and that we were to follow in pattern with shell section. Is that how you did it??? My sleeve does not look exactly like the Pattern Picture shows. It's not as rounded!

I still need to do the decreasing on my sleeves. I've been sick in the bed for the past few days. But, I'm feeling a bit better today, so I'm hoping to get on it tonight.

Shandeh, sure hope you are feeling better. I'm hoping it's not as hot where you are as it has been here in MI. I don't go out of the house for anything, only to get the mail and to my volunteer work on Thursdays. Could your feeling ill be from the heat??? Do take it easy.

I have my sweater body and sleeves being blocked. They'll probably be dry enough tomorrow to start the sewing together. Then, maybe I can take a picture of what I have before adding the trim.

We have had record breaking temperatures all week. Incredibly hot - up to 107 degrees Fahrenheit. I always hate our summers in the South, but this year has been much worse. I think I should move to Canada, to get away from this ridiculous heat. :rainy:

My sickness has been respiratory. Not sure if it's related to the weather, although I have heard the meteorologists discussing poor air quality on all the forecasts. I've been coughing, congested, and wheezing.

Right now, I'm sipping an IBC diet root beer, and eating a Choco Taco.

I'm planning on doing some knitting and crochet this weekend, if I feel better.
