Not too sure about the weather up here in Canada either. We have had a crazy weather also so far. Hot and humid up to more than 90 degrees F. I'm not complaining I like it hot!!! It gets so cold in the winter that I'm enjoying summer. We drink a lot of water and try to keep cool any which way. Some places had hail and wind strong enough to brake 100 year old trees and devastate a lot of crop. I guess vegetable will be more expensive!!
Hope you feel better, take good rest

Whoa! 90 degrees in Canada?! That's crazy!!
What's this world coming to?!

Our Winters here in the South are very unpredictable. Usually mild, with rare snow. But we do get ice storms. I wish we had more snow here, because I love cold weather. I can bundle up in my handknits in the winter. :cloud9: On the flip side, in the Summer, there is nothing I can do to get cool. Even if I was bold enough to strip off all my clothes, I would still be miserably hot. I just tolerate summer, and rejoice when Autumn begins. My neighbors are no longer shocked when they see me run outside and dance in my backyard, squealing, "It's Fall! It's Fall!"

I'm stumped!!!! I have the shoulder seams done and trying to set in the sleeves. I'm trying to figure out where the sleeve markers go on the body part. Do they meet the "corner" part of the sleeve opening? Or do the markers meet at the center of the shell at the bottom of the sleeve opening?

I've marked the center of the sleeve and will put it at the shoulder seam, but it seems like I have too much "sleeve seam" to put in the opening. Following the measurements on the pattern for the size I'm making, I have 19.5 inches of sleeve opening on the body part. The sleeve part measures about 28" including the 1.5" to the markers or 25" without the "marked 1.5" on each side. That seems like a lot to "ease" in. For those of you who have finished your sweater, can you please advise me? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The extreme heat can cause respiratory problems, sorry you are feeling ill, my asthma has been horrible the past week because of the heat, I think we got to 109 one day last week, don't you just love the south though...;)

Hope you are feeling much better.

Since you've finished the shoulder seams, I would recommend putting on the sleeveless cardigan, and trying on the sleeves to see how they hang. This should help you see where the seaming should be done. Let me know how that goes.

The south is turning into an oven, isn't it? :tears:
I have asthma as well, so I guess it's just the way things are right now. :| But, I AM better than I was last week. So, I'm trying to take it easy, to keep myself healthy. I hope your weather cools off soon!

FINALLY! I finished all the body work on my cardigan, and now I'm ready to seam.

I made myself sit down last night, and get it all done, by turning on my TV and sliding in a DVD of "Down with Love". It was so fun to watch - a wonderful escape back to a 1960's style romance. I enjoyed it so much, that I watched it TWICE! The "special features" on the DVD were neat, too.

I hope to do the seaming this weekend, so keep your fingers crossed! :)
