I've finished the ribbing on my sock. :) How far have you gotten on yours?

:knit: I've finished mine to the heel part. As you can see I work both socks at the same time. That way I get a pair. To make a long story short, years ago I only wanted to know I could do it and would never finish the other one. My girls got a big laugh out of it, so now I work both at the same time.

Great progress!
I usually knit two socks at once also, but decided to make them one at a time this go-around. When I make two at the same time, my work is super slow. :?

Last night, I posted another video, which I recorded on July 4th. It took me this long to get it uploaded to YouTube. My poor computer is having a hard time keeping up with today's technology. I really need to get a new one. :|

Anyway, here's the latest video, showing how to do the knit section after the ribbing:

It has been years since I knitted a pair of socks. I used to make them for my dad for the winter. He worked outside and he said they were really warm. I think I will attempt to make a pair for myself. :D

I am knitting the gauge swatch. I found out the importance of this while making the KAL. I am confused as to what size needles I should use. I used #3dpn. My swatch is too small by .5 inches. Do I go with #5 or #2?

Good for you! You are wise to make a gauge swatch! :D

Since your swatch is too small, you need to switch to thicker needles, to get the work larger. I would recommed trying US size 4 or 5 needles.

Good luck!

:knit: I love the colors, the Hot Tamale is such a great choice. I also ordered the Hot Tamale and the Faded Denim, that way I will have them for future projects.

The next part is a little scary for me. :scared: I have never done this, so I can't wait to see how it works out.
