Crochet Bobble hat

Postby Eggladyack » Mon Jul 23, 2012 10:11 am

Making my first hat, ever. It is a baby bobble hat. When crocheting this hat, which side is the 'right' side? Should my bobbles be outside or inside the hat as I crochet it? Does a hat work up with the right side facing out already or do I need to flip it 'inside out' to have the right side on the outside? :hrmm:

Is the hat a Bernat pattern? I can't find anything like that on the website.

No, it is not a Bernat pattern. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library ... ble-beanie

I believe I figured it out. Lol The bobbles were going to the inside and outside, so I just poked the bobble through to the outside of hat and crocheted the next stitch a little tighter and behind it to 'hold' it in place.

But I still want to know that when crocheting a hat, any hat, is the outside of the round really the outside? I mean, there is no need to turn it inside out, right?

Usually, with any hat, the outside is the right side of the hat. Most knitting patterns will add "RS" on the rows that are on the right side. With crochet, you are usually always working on the right side, so there would be no need to add "RS" to those.
