You  taught me to knit and not to be afraid of it. I love it, and the harder the better. I love this baby sack because there are a lot changes to each row.

Golly! I won't why your email won't go through? :hrmm:
Try again today, and let us know.

I'm amazed with your knitting, my friend. :notworthy:

Thanks for the update! I really need to get quicker progress on my baby sack. I'm just very carefully working each row. I might win the award for slowest knitter one day.

:knit: You would never win that one. I only wish I could be half as good as you.

I make a chart before I even start the project, I loved this one. I did the instructions for each of the 4 rnds in a column, spacing with each stitch marker, then left a big space for the cable pattern. I did the instructions for the cable on smaller sheets of paper, with the 4 rnds to match the correct rnd. When I worked a rnd, I put the smaller paper where it belonged. No problem, and kept my place very well. I didn't mess up once. I find if I do this I don't have any problems and I can catch a mistake before it happens. I plan out all my stitches before I start. It also helps me go a little faster. I don't have to keep trying to figure out where I am.

:hellogoodbye: I did get a reply from inquire. :( I guess I didn't explain myself well enough. The numbers still don't match, with the numbers I will have on the 4th row. It's in the 2nd and 3rd part of the moss section. I'm just going to wait for you. I know I can correct it but.....

Sometimes it can be hard to communicate yarn and pattern questions through email. I had to contact them myself when making projects for the Bernat Blog back in 2009 and 2010. There were times that I had to go back and forth with them a couple times, before they completely understood my issue. But, when they knew what I needed, they provided excellent help.

Speaking of needing corrections.....I noticed a mistake on one side of my baby sack. I was just going to live with it, but it just kept GLARING at me. :?

Mistake Several Rows Back 2 by Shandeh, on Flickr

You have to look pretty close to notice it, but once you see it, you can't help but keep noticing it. I added an extra row of knits and purls on one part, and it made everything look off-kilter.

So, I decided to attempt something I had never done before. I unravelled HALF of the project back to where the mistake was.

Then, I re-knit each row, one at a time, until it was corrected. It's not perfect, but at least I don't have that weird row staring at me anymore.

You going to take a photo of the finished product? That's quite an undertaking. I've done that but years back. I noticed that I did a similar thing with the Irish Moss Stitch on this baby sack but it was only a few rows back an I just took it out back to the mistake. I can't live with mistakes! LOL I did a cable twist one row too soon too this time and unravelled the four stitches back and crossed it the correct row. It looks ok but a wee bit loose but I'll just ease it along the row with a yarn needle and fix it that way.

I made a video while I was doing this correction. It should be viewable on YouTube tonight. Like you, my reworked section has some loose spots, but I will work them in with a needle as well. ;)

I'm glad I figured out how to do this.

:hellogoodbye: Your baby sack was coming along great. I don't know if I would have tried to fix it :idonno: or just start over. You always make things look so easy. :) Just take it out and redo it. I would be soooo :scared: scared. Most of the time I just start over. I am learning how to back up 1 stitch at a time, but I don't know about going that far back. I can't wait to see the video of you fixing it. I hope everything turns out OK.
