I decided to finish my socks with kitchener stitch after all, so I did not cast off the stitches.

If you have already cast them off, you can just seam them together, to close the toe.

:knit: I did not cast off yet. I have instructions for the kitchener stitch. I have never tried this one, but it looks interesting. You know me.... ;) I have to try it.

YOU DID IT! :crown: :bravo: :crown:
Way to go!

Now, be sure to take extra special care of those precious handknit socks. :)
I always wash mine in cold water, then hang them up to dry.
Even though the Bernat Sox yarn says machine wash and dry, I still treat my socks special, since I worked so hard to knit them.

:hellogoodbye: I will take your advise and make sure I handle them with care, if I even wear them. I might just put them in a frame and hang them. I am so excited. I can knit a pair of socks. :cloud9:

GREAT IDEA!
I wish I had my first socks framed. I made my first pair, using some very cheap baby yarn. I still wear them now, because they are so comfy. They are ankle socks, so I wear them around the house as slippers.

:inlove: I love your 1st pair of socks. The turned out great and I love the color. You should frame them. I ordered the Bernat Sox yarn in the Hot Tamale and the Faded Denim. I also tried the 1st pair in a cheap sock yarn, I didn't want to ruin my good Bernat yarn. Now I can make a pair with my Bernat Yarn and know it will come out good.

Bernat Ankle Sox

Postby Kayro » Sat Sep 22, 2012 8:35 pm

I made a sock..... "a" sock. Not sure when my other foot will get a mate, but I
did make it thru the process with thanks to some really good youtube.com videos.
I did cry a little, but I used my sock to wipe those tears away...kept on plugging!!
