tjwjlove wrote::hellogoodbye: Your baby sack was coming along great. I don't know if I would have tried to fix it :idonno: or just start over. You always make things look so easy. :) Just take it out and redo it. I would be soooo :scared: scared. Most of the time I just start over. I am learning how to back up 1 stitch at a time, but I don't know about going that far back. I can't wait to see the video of you fixing it. I hope everything turns out OK.

I used to be scared like that too. But, then I realized that, "Hey! If it doesn't work, I'll just unravel the whole thing and start over." So, no worries. I just like to try different things, to see if they work or not.

My unravelling worked just fine, and it looks pretty good! I mean, it's not perfect...I can see some loose spots at a few place, but I'm gonna try to stretch the yarn out across the re-worked section, to make it look better. I think I'll do that tonight, while watching Netflix. (I've been watching "Upstairs/Downstairs", and only have 3 episodes left. I wonder which series I will watch next?)

:hellogoodbye: Maybe when your finished, washing it will help. I'm sure it will be fine. I can't wait to get going on mine again, but I'm still stuck. Your not that far behind me, so I can wait. I did notice another mistake on row 14 of the chart. The first and last stitch of the Cable Pattern Chart should both be Purls. I think they just forgot the dash, but it may throw some people off. I used both, the written and chart when I wrote mine. When you get to the 3rd Next row on the Shape Sides let me know. That is where I'm stuck.

How do you find time to do all the things you do? Knit, Crochet, Choir, Piano Lessons, Music, Netflix and who knows what else. I wish I could multi-task. I can barely do one thing at a time. Of course, being new to knitting I am having to really concentrate on each stitch right now. Oh.... maybe one day.

Gosh, I hope washing will help with those few loose spots. :)
I'll let you know when I start shaping the sides.

I have no idea how I have time to do all I do. Right now, I have 21 piano students, I direct the church choir and handbells, play organ and piano for church services and weddings and funerals, moderate the Bernat Forum, post a weekly Community Update in the Bernat Blog, knit and crochet projects for our KALs and CALs, knit and crochet other projects for friends and customers, occasionally knit or crochet things for myself, and I eat, sleep, and clean the house every once in a while.

I work about 4-7 hours every day (7 days a week), but I'm able to handle it. I don't date, because I'm just not interested. I've had enough of men for a while. :? So, I fill my time with work and play. I allow myself time everyday to play computer games, the Wii, and my Nintendo DS. This helps to keep me sane. I'm looking forward to the cooler weather, because now I'll be able to go for walks! :D I just love going for walks in the Fall.

Okay, here are the videos I made, showing how I unravelled, then re-knit that incorrect section on my baby sack.

:hellogoodbye: You make me tired just talking about all the stuff you do. I wish I could just do 1/2 of that. I would love going for walks, but I had drop-foot a couple of years ago and it left me a little unsteady on my feet and hurts when I do alot of walking. Soooo, I do alot of crocheting and now knitting. To see all the beautiful :inlove: fall foliage, we took a trip from here to TN, crossed the Smoke's into NC and headed north to Mt. Mitchell on the Blue Ridge Pkwy. into VA. Came back down to Savannah and Jacksonville ,then home. Went did this, the last week in Oct. so it was great. The colors were unreal, just beautiful.

I can't walk as much as I used to, because I have osteo-arthritis in my left knee. :?
But, I still love walking outside in the beautiful Fall weather. And you're right about the gorgeous colors in the Southeast during Autumn. Sometimes, it just takes my breath away! It's almost like being in love. :inlove:

I've made some more progress on my baby sack. I'm hoping to get to that 16 inches soon! :)

By the way, here's a photo of the part I unravelled and reworked. If you look on the left side, you will see the loose stitches I was talking about. I'm thinking that my reknitting might have worked better if I had worked it from opposite ends each row. That would have helped to even out the tension a bit, I bet. :hrmm:

But, I'm just going to make sure that the loose section is at the BACK of the baby sack, so it won't be so noticeable.

:hellogoodbye: Your Baby Sack is coming along, its looking good. Your not a slow knitter at all. You just have a lot of projects going at once. I try to stay with just one at a time, but it does get boring. I really am enjoying the Baby Sack, it has so many directions and changes in each row. I love the challenge.

Thanks! :)
I agree that this design is VERY interesting - every row feels like a new adventure.
