I made it with a heavier yarn so getting the technique would be easier.
(that's a lie, it's easier to frog). I have no expectations of actually making a
wearable sock, so I used some scrap yarn and I don't have any more, so the
next one will be another color. Thank goodness no one will ever see me
wearing them. Thanks for the pattern, it was my goal to master (get through)
the sock-making trial, but I'll try again.

:hellogoodbye: Kayro, that sock looks really good! :bravo: I think it looks wearable! :)
I have been knitting seriously since 2010 and made my first pair in August. It is quite an interesting process, isn't it? I want to try this pattern. I think you did a great job! :D

:D I laughed out loud the first time I heard about SSS. So many of us have finished one sock, then said, "Woo Hoo! I'm done!" Then, we just don't FEEL like starting another one.

Now, I usually start BOTH socks at the same time, knitting one row at a time, going back and forth. This way, they are both done at the same time. So, I don't have to deal with SSS anymore. 8-)

I am working up to starting a 2nd toe-up sock :hrmm: I just finished the 1st one today. I also get this way with mittens. . .it's like, here we go again. . . Sometimes I will do a little "side project" like a dishcloth to divert my attention. It's like eating a cracker between sips of wine @ a wine tasting. ;)

I am intrigued by the idea of making 2 socks at one time! :scared: Do you use the 2 circular needle method. . ? Since I am a newbie at socks, I feel like my toe-up pattern is my little comfort zone. . but I am always ready for the next step! :reading:

When I make two at a time, I use two separate sets of dpns. :)
They don't travel well, so I just work on them at home.

I don't like using circulars for socks. I've tried every method there is, and I'm in love with dpns. So, that's what I'm sticking with.

Actually, Shandeh -- the 2 circular method looks scary to me! I have grown to love DPNs too--it almost seems strange to work on straights or circulars!
So, do you alternate between socks, knitting a round on one set, then another round on the other set?
