I made it with a heavier yarn so getting the technique would be easier.
(that's a lie, it's easier to frog). I have no expectations of actually making a
wearable sock, so I used some scrap yarn and I don't have any more, so the
next one will be another color. Thank goodness no one will ever see me
wearing them. Thanks for the pattern, it was my goal to master (get through)
the sock-making trial, but I'll try again.

I laughed out loud the first time I heard about SSS. So many of us have finished one sock, then said, "Woo Hoo! I'm done!" Then, we just don't FEEL like starting another one.
Now, I usually start BOTH socks at the same time, knitting one row at a time, going back and forth. This way, they are both done at the same time. So, I don't have to deal with SSS anymore.
