I've started to make this. I can't find bernat satin in my home town so i'm using another brand in a varigated color. I have 3 rows done, and its not looking like the picture. I will do a few more and see if it starts looking like the picture. That purl stitch is a booger
to do. The knit stitch
is easy. But flipping the yarn to the front is awkward to me, but I will continue. I still don't know how to hold the yarn in my hand with all the flipping back to front and front to back. It will take me awhile to do this one, but I will not give up.
I remember having trouble with the purl stitch when I was first learning it. It just feels so DIFFERENT from the knit stitch, doesn't it? Just keep practicing, and be patient with yourself. Before too long, you will start to feel the flow of it, and it won't be so bothersome.
My first purl stitch project was a ribbed scarf. I gave it to charity, to help keep someone warm. It wasn't beautiful, but I'm sure it was appreciated by the person who needed it.
I used to love making charity projects when I was first learning to knit. I made hats, scarves, blanket squares, and slippers. I wonder where they are now?
