Yeah, I'm not worried about my namesake. Surely, she knows that I am here! (My real name is Sandy :) )

I don't mind the rain and wind. I actually have a thunderstorm CD that I enjoy listening to! :D

:hellogoodbye: I don't mind the wind and rain either. That's our sign for grab a cup of coffee and sit on the porch. We always leave for hurricanes because I don't like tornado's, and they have a lot of them with the hurricanes. ok, just be safe.

Will do, my friend. I've got food, water, batteries, candles, and knitting - so I'm set if the power goes out.

The people of PA are panicking with this one too. There's no bread, water batteries etc. in stores from what I hear I keep saying I'm gonna laugh if she takes a turn but we are watching her. I myself wouldn't mind a day off work to crochet and read. I feel like I'm so behind ugh. Be safe everyone!

It is like the calm before the storm here in Massachusetts. The wind gusts and heavy rain are expected to hit us later today as the storm moves closing to the coast. I'm just glad that Hurricane Sandy is not bringing us any snow like we got last Halloween. That was a mess that lasted over a week!

Hope eveyone up and down the Atlantic Coast in the path of this storm has taken all precautions, or evacuation warnings seriously, and has done everything necessary to stay safe. We have family on Long Island, so we are carefully monitoring their situation there.....thankfully not right on the coastline though. Best thoughts to all!

This afternoon, I went out to check my mailbox, and noticed my recycling can had been blown over by the wind. So, I rolled that, plus the regular trash can close beside my house. Hopefully, that will keep them from blowing over any more. So, we are getting a tiny taste of the winds here in the Charlotte, NC area.

We've started the wind and rain it's supposed to be worse later this evening. I'm playing with the hook and doing laundry as we speak. It's like hurry up and wait time right now. Just wondering what we will be driving through later this week to go to Charlotte

You're coming my way? Cool!

It was chilly today, so I had to wear a knitted hat and a windbreaker while I was out teaching. Didn't need gloves or a scarf yet, but I think they will be necessary tomorrow.
