knitting with Truffle

Postby paulinet » Sat Oct 20, 2012 2:11 pm

I am having trouble understanding the ball band instruction for the Ruffle Scarf. It says to "work into top edge of yarn". Would that be the chenille or the ribbon edge? Is there a photo or video for working with Truffle? Thanks!

Thank you! I thought that might be it, but didn't want to wreck the yarn if I was wrong.

Bernat Truffles

Postby Ewezer » Wed Dec 12, 2012 5:52 pm

This is a scarf that I have just finished making with Bernat Truffles. Has anyone else made anything with it? I had to restart the project numerous times because stitches kept slipping off the needles and unraveled very quickly making it impossible to pick them up. I put the yarn aside for a few hours and then came up with the solution I used a larger size needle than the pattern called for. The pattern calls for a 4 1/2 mm. or U.S. 7, I finally used a 6mm. or U.S.10. and finished it an a couple of hours.

I chose to knit this Truffles scarf by knitting into every loop instead of everyother one as the pattern says. The result was a less loopy scarf.
