I need help with a baby hat pattern crochet the patterns says
5th rnd: Ch 3. *2 dc in next dc. 1 dc in each of next 11 (3-2) dc. Rep from * to last 11 (3-2) dc. 2 dc in next dc. 1 dc in each of last 10 (2-1) dc. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. 52 (60-64) dc.


It is stating you can make 3 sizes and adjustments are in () I am not sure how to read this

1 dc in next 11 then brackets normally say how many for the next sizes I 've never seen it say a smaller number is there a mistake in the pattern?
