Thanks for joining in! :D I can definitely relate to having several projects going at once. I think it keeps our creative spirit alive if we allow ourselves to make as many things as we want! Anyway, if we decide we don't like a project, we can unravel it without worries, because we have so many other items on the needles and hooks. :)

You are so right--love the variety!!! Since I have recently added several more storage tubs of yarn to my stash (found them in the attic), I must begin using stash yarn.

I found some really pretty green and white Bernat Baby Sport that is working beautifully with this pattern. I love the flower motif--really cute. I found that if I used a diaper pin and pinned the two motifs together about half way down, I could more easily do the chains and connecting stitches and did not have the work twisted. Also, I am not too concerned about counting stitches after I finish counting the connecting chains--just making sure I alternate sc and dc and keep the pattern going correctly--I was beating myself up trying to be sure I had exactly 106 stitches (second row of body) when it doesn't seem necessary.

This is really fast--finished both motifs and started the body this afternoon and am looking forward to working on it more later this evening. I look forward to hearing about experiences others are having.

:hellogoodbye: I'm here. I did the Cable Baby Sack (knit). I liked this one too, but decided to do the Chunky Cable Blanket. I have done 53 projects this year and I'm slowing down a little. Are you making this one? How is it coming? How far along are you?

I don't know where everyone went. It has been quiet for awhile now. I guess they're busy with the holidays.

Thanks for the response. I did not try the knitted one--crochet is much faster for me although this is a slow stitch. I have just finished sewing the bottom together, but I have to go back and add a DC side to my square because I managed to turn the front square when I was pinning it together and put the bottom side without the DC on the left instead of the bottom. At least with crochet, those mistakes are relatively easy to correct!!!

You have completed a whole lot more projects than I have this year--very impressive. I am working on several large projects and new ones just seem to pop up and scream to be started. I am working on a lap throw for a friend who has just received some distressing health news so I am eager to finish that and get it to her--other projects will wait. I am using a pattern called "Baby Granny Three Ways" and I love it--each row of the group of three is a different stitch so I am not getting bored. I will post a pic on Ravelry soon.

I think you are correct about everyone gearing up for the holidays--hope yours are great!

I have finished my baby sack--don't know what happened to the color in the photo--it is really a pretty green! I added a white trim around the top of the sack and made a hat to match. I enjoyed working on this and love the way it looks. I thought I would really hate doing all that single crochet, but it was relaxing to work on a "no-thought" project while also working on several projects that were very demandingl Everyone I know who is expecting is expecting a boy, so this will go to the silent auction for our local animal shelter.

Oh, how darling!
The hat is wonderful with it, and I love the white edging. :)
