Thanks laceyj1204! I checked out the pattern--very pretty! I will add to my stuff in Bernat! And to my "Wish List" of things to make! :knit: :hellogoodbye:

A few years ago with a lot of small bits of leftover yarn I knit this blanket. I knit wide strips and then my sister machine stitched the stips together with strips of flannelette. She then added a backing with the same material. It covered all the ends that did not have to be woven in. I joined the different colours using a stranded method. I tied the blanket in the strip areas. It was donated to a group of ladies who knit and send parcels to an orphanage in Russia.

:hellogoodbye: I love your blanket. What a great idea of adding the flannel. It will surely keep them warn in Russia.

What a charming afghan, and what a fantastic use of odds and ends.

tjwjlove - your blanket is beautiful! :bravo:
What method did you use to "sew" all the squares together?
