Linda - that is just the cutest little reindeer I've seen! Great job for your first time. :bravo:

Thanks to all for your very kind replies! Most of the free reindeer patterns out there didn't really look like reindeer. One even sort of looked like a pig with antlers....UGG! I was pretty much ready to go in another direction and make something different for them, when I clicked on this pattern! So glad I made that extra click-through!

Thanks again.....this was fun project, and fairly quick.

I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. The Christmas stocking I've been knitting is almost done! Good thing, too. The customer needs it by tomorrow, before she goes out of town for the holidays.

HOPEFULLY, I'll have time to make a few quick cowls for some friends and family. Maybe some slippers too.

Our grown son has been a huge hockey fan from the age of about 6. That was after Gordie Howe retired, but Wayne Gretzky was in full form, and one of DS's favorite players. He is now working in the communications dept for the NY Islanders, and even though he has met and talked to many sports "legends" over the past few years, he still says those two kind of leave him speechless! (Hoping for a hockey season this year, but at this point, it's not looking good) :(

Oh wow, Linda, your son met WAYNE GRETZKY and Gordie Howe?! What a privilege!
My husband and I are from Michigan, but we are Leafs fans, not Wings fans. We saw Gretzky play against the Leafs at Maple Leaf Gardens, in the final year the Gardens was home to the Leafs. That was awesome. We have also seen the Leafs play at the ACC, v. Montreal. I took a photo of my husband with Carleton. :cloud9:

Yep, he met 'em! Along with Brett Hull, and a few others. It happens when you work in the Media/Communications depts of sports teams. Also worked for the Stars the last season that Mike Modano played. The boy loves the sport.....kind of strange for one who didn't grow up skating, but fell in love with the Stars when they made the move to Dallas. Hockey is a good game....we had Canadian friends who introduced us to the sport 40 years ago. It sure has changed though!

That's kind of what I thought too. He reminded me of Bambi in the scene where he's learning to ice skate, and his legs go right out from under him.....humm, I should have put skates on the bottoms of his feet.

I'm pretty laid back about the conversations. As long as we are all getting along, and no one is offended, I'm a happy moderator. :cloud9:
