I know you will be successful learning to play your axe. You are a very talented person! Rock On, Shandeh!
Shandeh wrote:Yes! The recital was at my church. It's a lovely sanctuary that works so well for the event. The piano is well taken care of by an in-house tuner who sings in the choir. And yes, the architecture is classic and historical. The church itself was founded just over 50 years ago, so it's not that old. And the congregation is going through a transition right now. I have been the organist for 10 years now, and have been the music director as well for the past 8 months.
The reception was very relaxing, and the food was tasty. I make that green punch every time. It's lime sherbet, orange juice, pineapple juice, and Sprite. Yum! I also provided trays of ChickFilA nuggets. My students brought chips, crackers, cheese, veggies, dip, and pound cake. I'm looking forward to our next recital now!
