Colds, Flus, and Other Ailments

If you feel like talking about something that isn't knit- or crochet-related, feel free to do so here.

Colds, Flus, and Other Ailments

Postby Shandeh » Thu Oct 25, 2012 1:02 pm

I've been sick with a bad cold for the past few days. Anyone else feeling under the weather?
What have you been doing to make yourself feel better? Have you felt like crafting?

I finished up some slippers last night, and it wiped out the little bit of energy I had. It was fun to work on them, though. I watched Netflix as I worked, and only made one mistake on one of the slippers. I don't think the recipient will ever notice the little error, so I'm letting it go as is.

Hope you're feeling better soon.
Only God is perfect.
My sister once pricked her finger while working on a quilt she made for me. She left the drop of blood on it, she said, to remind me of all the work that went into it.

Great story! Maybe you should name it the "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" quilt. :)

Thank you, my friend. I've been sleeping a lot, and drinking lots of water, juice, and soda. This morning, I used my Jack Lalanne power juicer to make some fresh juice, using fruit from my mom's pear tree. It was very tasty. :)

I taught two piano lessons yesterday, and they really wiped out my energy.

Thank you, sweetie! :)

I was able to knit a lot on my Cable Baby Sack today, and I'm up to the hood now.
But, boy am I beat!! I'm dizzy too, and my vision is blurred. That's what I get for working a charted cable design when I'm sick.

After I finish all my internet stuff, I'm going back to bed again. I'm tired of staring at those four walls, but there is nothing else I can do right now.

I guess this fits under the "other ailments" category....but I've been kinda down after the holidays. This tends to happen every year for me. How about the rest of you? Do you find yourself kinda "blue" after the holidays?

I'm trying to get motivated to work on my new sweater, but there is just so much work to be done in my house, to get all the Christmas decorations put away, and putting everything back to normal. It's just so exhausting.

I got a Nook for Christmas, so I've been spending a lot of time reading. Maybe that's why I'm not knitting or crocheting as much. I guess it's time to put away my toy. :?

Take care of yourself. In Texas, we are having a bad time with the Type A flu and it's a hardy
strain. All precautions need to be taken, please stay healthy and take care of yourselves and
family.

Thank you for the love, Kayro!
