There are so many options! I'm thinking Linen Stitch would be beautiful as there's a little overlap between rows/colors.

Honestly, I haven't even decided on knit or crochet!!

I was agonizing over this choice all last night- I kept going back and forth between multiple stitches. I ended up going with my first choice, linen stitch. I even made a tiny little swatch to see if I'd like the effect and I love it! I just need to figure out how many stitches to cast on.. I can't wait to start!

i started work on my Temperature project last night, and decided to go with garter stitch all the way. Boring to some, blissful to me! Mine will be a wrap, so I casted on 70 stitches instead of 35. Time will tell if I have enough yarn. I will post a photo tonight.

I did a crocheted test swatch using worsted weight yarn and the pattern on the blog. It looks like the scarf will be about 18 feet long!!??!! Has anyone else tried to figure out how long it will be?

I'm doing the moss stitch (crochet)! I already completed January 1st until today, and I'm LOVING how it looks!

I did a crocheted test swatch using worsted weight yarn and the pattern on the blog. It looks like the scarf will be about 18 feet long!!??!! Has anyone else tried to figure out how long it will be?

My math (which may or may not be right!) estimates mine to be 10.5'. That's 365 x 2, plus 8 for the outer edges and 22 for the borders between the months = 760. I've done six rows so far, and it's right about 1" using the pattern on the blog. So 760 / 6 = 127". 127 / 12 = 10.5'.

I'm using the Bernat Satin, the H hook, and the recommended pattern.

We might all look like Doctor Who when we're done! LOL

I was thinking of using a different stitch for different types of weather, so I'll be cataloging more than just the temperature. But I'm having a hard time deciding which stitches to use, since they need to be expressed in only two rows. Here's what I have so far:
clear/sun – stockinette
fog - ?
rain- simple slip stitch
wind - garter
cloudy – reverse stockinette
overcast – moss
snow – double ribbed
sleet - ribbed
hail – double moss
hurricane/tornado/etc. - broken double rib
