Baby Pom Pom

Postby KatieRN » Sat Sep 22, 2012 2:02 pm

I bought a bunch of Baby Pom Pom cause it was 50% off (our local Zellers was doing their liquidation) but I picked it up and had a heck of a time working with it.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to work with it and any pattern you had luck with. Knit or Crochet...

Thanks in advance

:hellogoodbye: Hi, KatieRN. Is it Bernat's Puff Ball? There are several patterns in Bernat's Free Pattern's. I have used it and it was fun to work with.

I've only knit a few rows with pom yarn. It's not for me. But, it only works right if you knit between the puffs.

Bernat baby pompom yarn

Postby jpfries » Mon Jan 21, 2013 8:31 pm

I am knitting the baby blanket that is on the label of the baby pompom yarn. It is the first time I have used yarn with pom poms, and I love the way it is turning out. I need help . What do I do with the ends when I change to a new ball.
I hope someone will help me

I've made a few blankets with pom-pom yarn, and the first time I made the mistake (imo) of leaving the ends to try to weave in later... yikes! For the blankets I made after that, I would tie knots in the yarn with the 2 strands when I came to the end of a ball (knot with the strand between the last 2 pom-poms on each) and then cut the extra pom-poms off. The knot gets hidden in the work!
I can't remember which knot I used, but I'd make sure to double knot it... the name 'box knot' comes to mind. And I just saw the magic or double knot, which seems really sturdy.
