Discussion and Photos of our Works in Progress (Jan. & Feb.)

During our current KAL/CAL, you'll be working on a scarf a little bit every day for the whole year. At the end, look back and see how the weather has changed!

Neat! Mitred Squares will be so cool! :cooldude:

I finally decided to make a wrap since it is -25 F this morning and I am kind of cold. I wish I could cuddle in it right now but... For now I am thinking that 6 months worth will be long enough. But it is the most significant 6 months of our lives (hubby and I). The year 1981. I will be posting photos soon

Is anybody keeping a journal or log on their scarf?

I am. I usually have notes all over the place so spend more time looking than doing. Part of my 2013 "Get it Together" project I have one notebook for all of my fiber things. A quick note on what rows I knit on what day, how much rain we got the one day it has rained so far, I was watching the Commander in Chief ball while knitting. It is fun to look back, especially on a long project like this. My last big destash project was a random number generated afghan for my son. I kept notes then and it was fun and interesting.

What are you doing?

I am finally caught up to todays date! I've decided to add an extra colour (black) for the really cold days because I just can't justify -23C being the same colour as -8C!
I'm loving how linen stitch is blending the colours together.. I wish I could just keep knitting, but I got to wait till tomorrow! :knit:

Amanda your cowl looks AWESOME!

I'm working from home today because my little one is sick. I snuck in a little knitting this morning to get caught up to today. I'm normally a very calculated knitter who plans out what colour will be used where, so do this is kind of out of my comfort zone! So far I love how it looks & I'm hoping it looks kind of like a patchwork quilt when I'm done.
