These are the items that are going into the gift basket for the third and for the moment final new arrival, due March 2nd, of friends of my Granddaughter. The towel and booties were made with Bernat Handicrafter. The blanket from Bernat Baby Blanket and the Cocoon and hat from Pipsqueak

Just finished a V-stitch baby blanket last night using Bernat Softee Baby in Pale Blue for the expectant daughter of a co-worker.

What a lovely gift. I'm seeing a trend among the younger generation to really appreciate the time and thoughtfulness that goes into handmade things.

It is indeed a lovely gift, I made a blanket for the birth of my grandson. He is a little bit over one year in a half now and it is now his security blanket, he just look like linus (from snoopy) he carries it all over all the time while sucking his pacifier. ;)

Just started working on the Diagonal Stripe Baby Blanket in Bernat Satin. I have been wanting to make this for at least a year but there were not babies in the family. Well, just found out that there is one due in August. I am using the colors given in the instructions. It is easy and feels so soft. I am thinking of making booties and a hat to match. :knit: :knit:

Looking forward to seeing your blanket. I made one for my Greatgrandson who is now 2 1/2 and it has stayed nice. He still uses it. Like you I love this yarn. A cute story goes with the purchase of the yarn.
