I'm making an afghan with the inner circle representing the low and the second round representing the high. I've gotten the lows about up to date and about 2 weeks of the second round. Any sage advice about finishing the 3rd round and attaching as I go along?
I love seeing everyone's progress!
Thanks, Monica
Hi Monica! I'm making squares too.
I'm joining my squares the way I learned to join granny squares in a red heart crochet granny pattern. I'm not good at explaining things like this, but I'll try. I make my last round on square one by skipping one more stiches on the previous round in the last round putting chains in their place about every other stitch. Then on the next square I join in that round by slip stitching in the corners and putting a single crochet in each space on the other square. Sorry, it's very easy to do and very hard to explain. Hopefully I'll have a picture soon.
**edit**
I took a photo of the 3 blocks of my afghan I have done so far. I just found out that the photo editing program I've used since the 90's doesn't work in my new computer, so I had to just use the photo straight from my camera. I hope it isn't too big.
This is the first two "non day" blocks and the first day of January. My cat, Tawny, is helpfully holding it for me.
