Thank you everyone. I still can't believe how popular grey and white is in nurseries now

In trying out another baby blanket pattern with the Bernat baby sport in the big ball size. I started it yesterday and got 40 rows in. My hands are a bit cramped from using such a small hook cause I'm not used to it lol

I recently finished a baby blanket for my boyfriend's cousin who was blessed with a little baby boy :D

I had been working on this for soooo long that I was finally glad to see it finished, lol. Blanket is knit in stockinette stitch, and was backed with a nice fluffy fleece after blocking and embroidery was completed in order to avoid the little one getting his fingers tangled up in the yarn.

Yarn used was Bernat Softee Baby in Soft Fern and Pale Blue - with little bits of Lion Brand Jamie used for the yellow in the star and frog tongue due to the limited selection in our local yarn stores.

Used size 6 needles (reccommended size for yarn), and cast on about 122 stitches. I lost track of how many rows I did...I ended up graphing out what I wanted to have the blanket look like using Knit pro software, and stopped knitting when the blanket seemed large enough. I think the final dimensions were something like 25" x 36".

To do it over again...I'd definitely border it in garter or seed stitch all around to help prevent curling along the edges, which was my bigggest foe, lol.
