I didn't get my yarn in time to start in February, so I started March 1st. I chose Vickie Howell's Sheep(ish). Following the Bernat Satin colors as close as I could I came up with: Plum(ish), Teal(ish), Turquoise(ish), Robin Egg(ish), Olive(ish), Chartreuse(ish), Lime(ish), Coral(ish), and Red(ish). My son went out to dinner with us last night and was looking at what I was doing. I told him it was going to be a Dr. Who kind of scarf. He was looking at the temperature gauge and said, "You can tell this was written for northern knitters." Duh me. I hadn't been to the forum yet, and I really hadn't taken much notice. I had already chosen the Plum(ish) for my borders and in -between months knowing that the chance of actually using them would be pretty much nil. Now I saw that I would have a red scarf for at least 2 maybe 3 Months, I live in the D/FW area of Texas. so this morning I got on line and ordered Yellow(ish). I haven't figured out my temperature scale yet, but I hope my yarn comes soon, as it is warming up out there. I am really enjoying myself. I did make my scarf 45 stitches across instead of 35 as I like wide scarfs. Thank you Bernat for sponcering this.
