Well, after doing all of January and a week into February with a stockinette tube scarf on size 6 needles, I decided that it was just going to be too thick for me to ever wear in Texas. So, I ripped the whole thing out, researched some more open stitch patterns, and re-knit in this star mesh pattern on size 9 needles. It's going to be nice and airy, but it's going to be a million feet long!

I've seen your other scarves and I thought they were very nice. I agree with you though, it takes time to get it all just right. This scarf is very nice too. I love your colors. That's an interesting stitch, I've never seen it before, I love the texture and how it makes each color standout.

I hope this works! I took the pic with my phone, then emailed it to myself. I am doing my pregnancy with my son. I plan on doing my current pregnancy when I get done with this one. It starts at June 18, 2011. I only used 5 colors and as you can see, there was a very warm period in July! I am just starting on August. I am knitting in the round and will attach the two ends together to make a cowl.

I decided to use different stitches for precipitation, and I got to use the stitch I chose for rain in January!! (Edmonton, Alberta) I’ll be putting the panels together to make a kind of calendar. The only downside is that I have to wait until the end of each month, because I’m working from bottom to top.

Everyone's temperature projects are looking great! I have been reading all the updates, but haven't said much lately. I spent several days in bed with a weird cold or something. Still have a tickle in my throat.

Anyway, I couldn't post as easily here in the forum, because I was using my Nook Tablet to go online. It works best for reading. So, I've been reading a lot, and browsing the comments here in the forum as well.

I hope you are all enjoying your projects! I have to catch up now, with 10 days of weather to knit!

Worked more on the scarf today - glad I made the decision to go with the lighter weight yarn - still think the scarf will be pretty long even with that, lol!

I LOVE how it's turning out! The stitch pattern paired with those shades looks so delicate, but in a good way - amazing!

Update to scarf - it's now up to February 8th, have had a lot of the girls in my knitting group ask about it, and other friends who see me working on it.

They all look fantastic! I am making mine exactly as the KAL pattern and I am really happy with it. This is January pictured. Our temps are in Celsius here so red is >39 degrees so not too many scorching days!

Love the colours you are using, I live in New Zealand and we also have Celsius.
What Country do you live in.

Hi - I only started my scarf on Monday because I live in the UK and decided to order the Bernat Satin yarn which arrived on Saturday. I have decided to use seed stitch and because the weather in the UK doesn't fluctuate much, my colour changes are recorded in 5 degrees centigrade blocks. I love using the Bernat Satin it is so soft - lovely
