How to Join the loose ends of yarn

Hoping to join the loose ends as I go along rather than having to do a large number at the end.
What method would be the best

If it's a short distance between colors, I'm just carrying them up. Otherwise, I'm weaving in loose ends whenever I'm finished for the day so that I don't have a ga-zillion at the end to weave in.

Doing two rows a day, all of the yarn ends will be on the same side of the scarf. Do you think this will make the scarf look lopsided?

I knit all the way through January the way the pattern is written, and it did end up a bit wonky on that side. It was very stiff and heavy where all the ends were woven in. So, I ripped it all out and decided to knit a tube in the round, instead.

I was wondering the same thing so I think I will knit 3 rows of each to alternate the tails. As far as I am concerned a scarf can't be too long when it is cold outside.

I'm hoping the crochet border I add to the edges when i'm done will help disguise the woven in ends side. I'm also doing it in stages to avoid being overwhelmed. About three weeks worth at a time.

I think thats what I'm going to do. I tested it on one side with my border color and I felt it really pulled my scarf together! I'm going to wait until I'm completely finished and do a border all the way around! I can't wait to see how yours comes out!

I'm doing 3 rows of my end of month color so that the ends will alternate which side they are on. I'm hoping this will avoid it being lopsided and then my border will help conceal as well.

I'm making a tube scarf just so I can avoid the loose ends. I'm carrying yarn up inside the tube until there is a long period when I don't use a colour anymore. Then I'll cut the end inside and anchor it. It's "fun" keeping the 5 strands of yarn from getting tangled, but I'd rather do that than weave in all the ends (!). I'm very happy with the way it looks so far.
