Scarf Length

During our current KAL/CAL, you'll be working on a scarf a little bit every day for the whole year. At the end, look back and see how the weather has changed!

i figured my crochet version would be about 17 feet long. So I'm thinking of doing a 6 month scarf for jan - june and then another one from july to december. That way it will only be about 8.5 feet long each. I'm 63 inches tall so if i did it as one long scarf you wouldn't see my face at all after wrapping it around my neck and it would still drag on the ground...lol

Me too... I'm thinking of one scarf for each season and sewing them together into an afghan for my baby who was born 12/24/12. Then maybe making one for each of my other kids or maybe one for my birth year. Or heck, maybe one strip for each of my kids' and put those into 1 afghan.

Yes!!! I fully expect that. I keep saying it will be 30 feet, but I don't actually know. I just got all my yarn so time to start and find out. :D

Also I'm not practiced enough at knitting to do the scarf in knit form, so a super long crochet it is for me. :D I can't wait actually.

Yay! I wonder how long it will be? :)

Me too, lol. Time to get cracking...

That's what I'm planning to do!

For me scarfs can never be too long, we have cold winters. But I made mine wider so that I can turn it into a hooded scarf and have lots left over to wrap around and keep me toasty warm.
