Experienced knitter, newbie KALer

So I have read here that this is an ok project for beginners. Will it be interesting enough to hold an advanced knitter's interest? This will be my first KAL, and my first knit afghan. I have always crocheted afghans and knitted smaller projects. But I don't want to start on the KAL and get bored with it.

I am an experienced knitter, and the project looks very interesting.
I'm sure you will be very pleased with the finished product.

This is also my first time I knit afghan. I can't wait to start. But I am fineing it hard to pick the colours of yarn for this afghan. This is also my first time writing in a forum this is all new to me hope it will all work out Dot

I'm also an experienced knitter, but a newbie KALer ... and, like DHKC, I get bored with big projects. For me, it's all about socks & hats & baby stuffs that go pretty quickly. ... so is the 2009 Mystery KAL blanket the same one that will be done this time?
