Help with cowl poncho

Having difficulty with bernat cowl poncho. New stitch - the v stitch. Just starting can do first row but can't transition to second row. Would appreciate simplified directions please.

I found the link to the pattern:
http://www.bernat.com/pattern.php?PID=3963

But, I'm not experienced enough with crochet to help with that one.
Can one of you other crocheters help with this one?

I'll start with row 2.
Make a chain of 5 (it counts for 1dc+2 ch) then make 1dc in the very first dc (last dc made on the previous row) then make 1dc, 2ch,1dc in the 3rd chain made on the beginning of row 1. turn.
Row 3, repeat same steps, that is: ch5, 1dc in the first dc, 1dc, 2ch, 1dc in the space of previous v-Stitch, til the end of the row. turn
Continue these steps until you have 31 v-Stitch.
Hope that helps :)

I tried to post a picture of it but It doesn't seems to work :hrmm:

Computer problems resolved! (oups!should read me)  and before somebody tells me I have the wrong pattern, I am sending new informations AND photos for the cowl poncho so here goes:

row 2: make a chain of 5 (counts as 1dc +ch2) then 1 dc, ch2, 1dc in the 3rd chain of 5 made from the first row. Turn
row 3: make a chain of 5 (counts as 1dc,+ch2) then 1dc, ch2, 1dc, in the space between the v-stich (previous row)than 1dc, ch 2, 1dc in the 3rd chain of 5 (made in the beginning from previous row.) Turn
row 4: make a chain of 5 (counts as 1dc +ch2) then 1dc, ch 2, 1dc in the space between the v-stitch, repeat to last V-stitch then 1dc, ch 2, 1dc in the 3rd chain of 5. Turn
Repeat until there are 31 v-stitches.

hope this makes more sense!!
